I Love Reading & Sharing

One of my favorite things to do is READ. I love it. I also love recommending books to others. So, that’s what this is all about. I’ve already shared my thoughts on a couple books here, sometimes in review form and others where I just share some thoughts. I want to keep that up. I think books probably bring the lowest excitement around these parts (I hope I’m wrong) but they are one of my favorite things to write about :)

I also wanted to skip talking too much about all the really popular books that everyone else is talking so much about. Its so much fun to bring up books that aren’t necessarily new or bestsellers. A fresh look.

So here are the books. I’ve already read some and am about to read the rest. I won’t be using whole posts for each book if it doesn’t require a lot, I’ll just combine a couple with a little review. If you’ve read any of these already tell me what you thought!

Also, I’m making a Reading List page that you can go to any time to see what I’m reading, have a book discussion (!), or find an old review.

  1. Out of all the books you listed, I had only read Anna Karenina and Frankenstein (and both a long time ago). Jenna Jameson’s book looks interesting.

    • It is! I’m reading it now and it’s a fascinating look at not only an adult actress but the porn industry. Any way you look at it, she’s had an amazing career. It’s also interesting, when you read about her life, to see her as such a person (more than sex on film) and what she does as a career. Do you have any good books to recommend?!

      • A good book that I would recommend is The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery. I’m trying to tackle the 1001 Books You Should Read Before You Die list (which is more like 1200 books), and this book was one of the first ones I read off that list. It’s a quick read, with interesting story.
As far as Jenna Jameson, I saw an E! True Hollywood Story about her once and I came away with the impression that she’s a great business woman. I think I want to read her book.

      • Ooo I’ve heard of The Elegance of the Hedgehog but I’ve never read it. Its happening now! That’s such a cool thing, taking on that list, you’re gonna read some great books I bet. And Jenna Jameson IS a fantastic business women. Read it and let me know what you think…
